Personal Statement

My passion is for creating an atmosphere of empathy where people can feel
seen. I bring a compassionate lens to root issues and enjoy empowering and
equipping others to develop various skills that lead to more joy in their life.
I see each person as unique and enjoy listening for the specific gifts they
carry, this allows me to customize strategies that help release healing.

Through my diverse and extensive community experience, I have developed
social-emotional workshops for high school youth, encouraged engagement
across different age groups, coached and mentored young competitive
athletes, and created effective experiential programming. In addition, my
work as an outdoor educator has allowed me to engage young people who
wrestle with risk-taking behaviors, emotional connections, and leadership.
I take joy in being in the process with others and watching them expand
into more of whom they are designed to be.

Currently, I reside on the northwest side of Chicago. I was born and raised
on the north side and am a pizza connoisseur of sorts. Fall and summer are
my favorite seasons. In my free time, I am an outdoor enthusiast and often
can be found hiking, running, kayaking, or camping alongside friends and family.

Approach to Therapy

Through my work with children, teens, and adults I see a myriad of presenting issues. Anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, family of origin struggles, and issues with spirituality are just a picture of issues discussed within sessions. I pull from multiple schools of therapy to provide a tailored approach to each individual client and their needs.

As a person who has also been in tough seasons, I know the difficulty of seeking help. I have felt the tension of delayed answers and overwhelming grief and learned that it’s unhealthy to be an island in that. If you feel that you’re in that place right now, then please do not hesitate to reach out and schedule a session.
