Our Story

Welcome to Pneuma Therapeutic Services. We are so honored that you would consider us to walk with you on your journey towards healing, wholeness and freedom. Pneuma launched its practice in January of 2020 with a vision to have a full service counseling and therapy practice for the city of Chicago that sees everyone from adults and couples to adolescents and families and to work with a number of issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and career counseling, but to have a specialization in helping people from trauma and find freedom from addiction, specifically sexual addictions. We have trained therapists who have a heart and passion to help those who are hurting and who want to make changes in their lives. Many of our therapists are trained in EMDR counseling and therapy (eye-movement, desensitization and reprocessing) to aid in the healing of trauma. Additionally, we can provide spiritual and religious integration for those who have a faith background and wish to have their faith values integrated into counseling and therapy.

What We Believe

Pneuma’s Mission Statement is to provide outstanding counseling from highly trained professionals to those who are hurting and who want healing in their lives and in their relationships.

We believe the truth that ALL people are created in the image of God, and thus affirm the inherent dignity and worth of every person. Because of this, we also affirm that there is no preferential hierarchy based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, social identity, and economic status. As an agency, we are welcoming of ALL people groups and as fellow image bearers of God, exist to care for the hurting and marginalized.
