Personal Statement

I truly believe the quality of your relationships directly impacts the quality of your life. The therapeutic relationship can be an intimidating one, but it can also enhance your unique relationships with yourself and those closest to you. I prioritize my relationship with you. I meet you where you are, ready to hear your story. Reaching out for therapy is often preceded by experiencing barriers in one or more of those relationships. From trauma to joyful sorrows in your relationships, I look forward to helping you through the tensions in this life. No matter the messages you have received, I want you to know you are lovable, capable, and worthwhile.

My name is Joseph Noreik. Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I seek to connect with you on a personal, human level. No matter the challenges you might be facing, I am ready to join with you in this stage of your story. I value your emotional safety and your human dignity doing my absolute best to hear, see, empathize, accept, and support you along your life journey. I have experience in helping individuals going through various challenges, including transracial adoptees/parents, parent-child relationships, domestic violence, spirituality and faith, drug addiction, life-transition, developmental and complex trauma, codependency, and immigration and racial trauma.

Approach to Therapy

You know your life best. My goal of our time together is to collaborate with you to create a safe space for you to explore and process those life experiences. My utmost intention is for you to feel heard while also being lovingly challenged in ways that will help lead you to further self-awareness and personal growth. I will compassionately navigate through your emotions with you as you feel comfortable. At times, emotions in various life circumstances can be difficult to identify and feel. My deepest desire as a therapist is for you to feel validated in your human experience. Life can be tough, but most find it a little more manageable with someone listening non-judgmentally about your challenges. I will do my best to do that for you.
