Personal Statement

I believe people deserve to heal, unforced, holistically, and by externalizing their complex narratives. As an art therapist, I can empower you to move beyond words, giving all parts of you a safe space to find a voice and a creative outlet necessary for telling your story. I take a relational, strength-based approach to therapy, prioritizing the therapeutic alliance to promote interpersonal and intrapersonal growth.

I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families by disrupting unhelpful cycles. I provide a creative outlet for emotional expression and encourage secure attachment. Through my experiences of working with trauma survivors, those struggling with addictions, and eating disorders, I’ve found relationships and purpose to be powerful in healing. I will join you in your healing process, enhancing your connections and sparking curiosity to help you enrich relationships and unblend from trauma.

I’m new to Chicago but grew up in Illinois. I love art, exploring, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. I have my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology: Art Therapy and desire to share creativity with others.

Approach to Therapy

I provide a safe, accepting space for you to explore relationships with others and self. I take a warm, empathic, and direct approach, stepping into your framework for life when welcomed. It takes courage to deconstruct and reconstruct your story, and I will walk with you through this healing process, highlighting your voice and sitting with you in your pain.

Safe emotional expression is vital to forming secure relationships, and I can provide this outlet through talk therapy and art therapy. My desire is that you be heard by those most important to you.
