Personal Statement

I help people change their unwanted behaviors, negative beliefs about themselves, and engage their emotions in order to gain balance and wholeness in life. My work is centered on helping you experience joy, purpose and healing as you learn to live from your true self.

My passion in therapy is to foster a relationship built on trust, safety, and hope so my clients feel known, accepted and are challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways. I consider it an honor to come alongside others in their pain, fears, challenges, and hurts and help them experience hope, self-acceptance and positive growth.

In my free time you might find me reading a thought-provoking book, eating amazing food with friends, or traveling the globe with my wife. Prior to my work in therapy, I served as a pastor and am deeply interested in the endless connections between the heart and the soul.

Approach to Therapy

Transformation occurs when we courageously step into the depths of our story in order to find true healing and restoration. My approach to therapy is centered on holding space for you to unburden yourself and engage with all that is happening within.

I will come alongside you to work through unwanted behaviors, distressing feelings and painful thoughts as well as diving into formative relationships and events that have been influential in shaping your struggles.

I consciously create an environment where you can be truly seen and known, free of judgement. Our time together will be characterized by warmth, care and positive regard. I will be an empathic listener and direct in my approach as we unravel the full weight of your story and cultivate a new way of being in the world with an intentional focus on your goals for change.

There is hope. Tomorrow does not have to be like today. Hope is integral to my therapeutic practice. It is the engine and driver toward change. Hope is balm for weary souls.
