Personal Statement

Sometimes it feels as if you are feeling your way in the dark. Another day of feeling overwhelmed with anxiety. Another day of dealing with past events impacting current realities. The shame and guilt you face make you feel like you are drowning in an ocean. While I enjoy working with different types of clients, my ideal client is someone who is ready to do the work of therapy. I understand that therapy is a vulnerable experience, but I will be there with you to support you and walk with you on this journey of discovering yourself and taking the steps to make change. Together we will develop a healthy plan that works best for you.

I will provide you with a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach to care and treatment. I believe that a holistic approach to treatment will address all your symptoms and concerns. It is my hope that we form a trusting, caring relationship, addressing underlying symptoms that are affecting your mental health so that you may thrive and begin to have the life you want.

Approach to Therapy

It is my joy and pleasure being a therapist and helping people who are struggling find relief and joy.  All of us want to feel valued, understood and to know someone gets us. This is where I come in as your therapist. First, I want to help you deal with your mess and help you look at what’s holding you back from the life you want and the person you want to be. I want to help you figure out what needs to happen for you to get there. I will be there to support you in learning new ways to manage your emotions, challenge your negative thinking in ways you never have; all in a supportive and nonjudgemental environment. It won’t be easy, but it’ll be worth the change you want to see in your life and yourself. I am here to help offer you hope and a chance to recover from your challenges.
